Returns, Refunds & Installer-First Guarantee
At Shieldme, everything we sell is built for real installers. We stand behind our products - but we also keep policies fair so we can maintain pricing for working shops.
Shieldme Installer-First Guarantee
Our guarantee is simple (TLDR):
- 30 days on unused tools and kits
- 30 days on unopened film rolls
- We replace or credit defective items. We’re generous on gear, strict on used film, and always fair.
Tools (Individual Tools)
30-Day “No Junk Tools” Guarantee
If a tool isn’t right for you, you can return any unused tool within 30 days of delivery for a refund to original payment method (excluding shipping).
60-Day Defect Coverage
If a tool:
- arrives damaged, or
- fails under normal tint use within 60 days of delivery
We’ll replace it or issue store credit.
Requirements:
- Order number
- Photo(s) of the issue
Not covered:
- Heavy wear
- Misuse
- Modifications
Tool Kits
Unused Kits (30 Days)
Unopened, unused kits can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to original payment method (excluding shipping).
Opened but Unused Kits
If opened but not used:
- Can be returned within 30 days of delivery
- A 10% restocking fee applies
Used Kits
- Not eligible for return as a full kit
- Individual tools still covered under 60-day defect coverage
- Film is covered under the film policy below
Tint Film Rolls
Unopened Rolls (30 Days)
Unused, unopened rolls (factory seal intact) may be returned within 30 days of delivery for:
- Store credit
- Less shipping
- A 10% restocking fee applies
Opened or Used Rolls
Due to the nature of film:
- Returns are not accepted on used or partially used rolls
- Exception: verified defects only
Because film is cut, handled, and exposed during installs, we cannot safely resell used rolls. That keeps quality high and pricing fair for working shops.
Defective Film
If you believe a roll is defective (adhesion, color, distortion, etc.), contact us within 30 days of delivery with:
- Order number
- Photos or short video
- Approximate length used
If confirmed, we will:
- Replace the affected film, or
- Issue store credit for the defective portion
Return Process
1. Request a Return
Submit a return request with:
- Order number
- Reason for return
2. Prepare Your Items
- Pack items securely in original packaging
- Ensure items meet return conditions
3. Ship Your Return
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility
- We recommend using a trackable shipping method
Damages, Defects, or Order Issues
Inspect your order upon delivery.
If you receive:
- Damaged items
- Defective products
- Incorrect items
Contact us immediately with:
- Your order number
- Photo(s) of the issue
We’ll make it right. If we make a mistake, we fix it. If a product fails under normal use, we stand behind it.
Refunds
- Processed within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect the return
- Issued to the original payment method
- Your bank or card provider may take additional time to post funds
International Orders
- Return window: 30 days of delivery (aligned with policy above)
- Customers are responsible for:
- Return shipping
- Duties and taxes (non-refundable)
